FestGuru.com – The team at EDC-LV 2014
Hi, I’m Jedi. I’ve been going to music festivals since 2002. I wish I remembered my first festival, but details are a little fuzzy.
Regardless, I think festivals are amazing. I try to go to as many of them as possible. I’ve been to big music festivals like the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas. I’ve been to small, regional festivals like Burning Flipside in Texas. My favorite has to be TomorrowWorld in Georgia.
Here’s some of the festivals that I’m planning on going to this year:
- Ultimate Music Experience – South Padre Island, TX – Had a parking lot party since they wouldn’t let me take my poi in to the show.
- Euphoria Music Camping Festival – Austin, TX- So glad that the rain that threatened the whole event never quite came through
- Something Wonderful – Canceled
- Sunset Music Festival – Tampa, Fl
- Wakarusa – Arkansas
- Electric Daisy Carnival – Las Vegas, NV
- TomorrowWorld – Atlanta Georgia
- Something Wicked – Houston, TX
I’ve stood in line for hours hauling tons of gear in past security to set up camp for TomorrowWorld.
I’ve searched for hours online trying to find the perfect bit of this or that to try and make the ultimate music
festival costume for guys.
I’ve driven and flown across the country with all kinds of festival supplies and gear.
I’ve danced and danced and danced until I couldn’t dance anymore. And then that one song came on, and I fucking danced some more. (Seriously, I was so sore afterwards.)
I’ve smuggled my poi into multiple major music festivals. I’m seriously getting good at that. (I wish I knew why more and more places are banning them.)
Like I said at the beginning of this I like festivals. One of my favorite things to do is take someone who’s never been to one before and pay for them to go and experience one with me. That smile on their face is one of the best things ever.
As you can see, I’ve gotten a little bit of experience with music festivals over the years. And now I want to share this experience and knowledge with YOU.
I know how to camp and what gear is essential for a good festival and what should be left at home. I know what you should things to consider before picking out a costume to wear to a festival. I know what it is like to drive across the country and go to a music festival by myself.
I’ve made 10,000 errors and bad choices with festivals, and it’s time for me to payback the festival scene with this site.
My mission: Get everyone to experience the EDM music festival scene, and have the world’s best time while doing it. I’ll cover everything from setting up camp in the dark, to picking the hottest go go outfit. I’ll show you the best gear and give the best methods, tips, and tricks for any festival.
